The Story of Yellow Rose Forge
Every year, I do a project with my kids as a way to teach them the basic skills they need for life. It also helps me do one of the things I enjoy most, spend time with my kids. Yellow Rose Forge was born out of such a project. Together, my sons and I built our own forge from scratch and began teaching ourselves the art of forging metal into beautiful objects. Enough people asked us about it to justify setting up shop. We are not the oldest or most experienced, but we are honest, fair, and passionate about everything we make.
The Yellow Rose name comes from two places. First, it was my mom's favorite flower. It's a way for us to honor her memory. She was more to my family than words can ever express. Secondly, it is a reference to
Song of Solomon 2:1
"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys."
There is some symbolism in that passage, but it comes down to this. We are Christians, and the Yellow Rose stamp identifies us as part of the church, the bride of Christ. It is a way to honor God in all that we make.

THE Family
These are my kids. They are the most hard-working, kind, honest, and amazing people I've ever met. They inspire me to be a better dad, a better smith, and a better person. They are night and day too. Charity is a nerd, a cosplaying, anime drawing nerd who will soon be a Chiropractor. Isaac is focused, driven, and go, go go.Soon, he'll be serving our country as a United States Marine. Jo-Jo is chill, a genuinely clever conversationalist, and baby-faced goofball who plans to enter the mission field before going to college for....something. The dog...that's Sokka. He likes cheese and is fluffy.
