Catch Billy Salyers competing on Forged in Fire: Knife or Death on The History Channel: October 31st 2018 at 10pm EST.
It's been a slow summer...digitally speaking. In the workshop, we've been full blast. Here's Sokka with a hint at what we've been working on. Big reveal soon.
So, what's next? We have a few more knives to finish, but most are 75% there already. We've got a super demanding customer (not really, it's just my wife, and her wish is my command) who we are making some curtain hardware for. I also managed to pick up a 27 ton log splitter, which I am in the process of converting to forge press. It should speed up our work and give us the ability to do some things we just couldn't do by hand. Exciting!
If you'd like to have us make something for you, drop us a line at email@example.com. We are working on an etsy store and an online ordering form, but we are not there yet. Since a lot of stuff is priced to order, the easiest way is just to contact us directly. If you would rather talk to us on the phone, call 828-289-6884. You'll probably get voicemail, but I will call you back asap if you leave a message.
Thank you all for making our efforts so successful. It's a pleasure to make these things, and even more so to make them for you, but most of all, I want to make things are works of art and skill that glorify God.
"And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."- Colossians 3:17 ESV
Busy busy...ever felt like that? Well, we've been working hard. We've completed a couple of beautiful chef's knives for a couple of customers, as well as a branding iron for a wedding, and a ceremonial sword (student safe) for a high school.
Today we started working on some 156 layer damascus, and have a few other projects in the works. I'll post some pictures once the customers have received their items. Pretty soon, we'll have an etsy store to make it easier to order stuff too.
Thanks. See you at the forge.
Oh, and one more thing. In a day or two, we'll be offering Yellow Rose Forge T Shirts. I can't wait to show them to you. They are amazing!
So, I'm posting the site. We'll see what happens. Right now, with Christmas coming up, we oddly have more free time. We have a couple of knives in the works and Homedog the junior is making an axe. Some decorative brackets are on the way too. I'm going to be making some for my house, so maybe you would like some for yours. I don't have great expectations from publishing this site, but it's fun to do and if this gives us the opportunity to meet people and share our faith, well then, I guess that is a great expectation.
For now, check out the story of how Yellow Rose Forge came to be. Thanks for visiting.
